Why Us?

BCBA Owned and Operated

Assent-Based, Trauma-Informed Care

Collaborative

ABA should fit into your life. We work with you to ensure we’re helping where you need it.

Results Focused

If something is not working or you’re not happy with the results, we change it.

No Hour Minimums

We don’t have session length minimums; session times are determined by what your child needs.

Commitment to Transparency

We want to make sure you’re aware of and understanding every part of your child’s treatment plan. We don’t try and hide things in boatloads of paperwork you sign at intake and then never touch again.

Commitment to BACB Ethical Practices

Being a small business, we hold ourselves to the BACB ethics code because that is what our CEO holds herself to - not a makeshift ethics code put together by some business executives that have never had clinical expereince.

What is ABA?

ABA, or Applied Behavior Analysis, applies the principles of behavioral science to teach individuals socially significant changes to better their life. By meeting clients where they are and realistic, achievable goals and perpetually evaluating the strategies and ensuring their effectiveness, we are able to support our clients and families with their individual needs.

We can teach any number of skills from using functional communication to express their wants and needs, build social skills, coping strategies, and tolerate changes. We also work with families to reduce certain behaviors (like aggression, self injury, and severe tantrum) and teach caregivers skills to manage behaviors and navigate the ever changing needs of their children.

The overall goal is to increase overall independence and well being for our clients and their families.

What is Assent-Based Care?

Assent based care is a method of providing treatment that focuses on a clients willingness to participate and their own self-advocacy and ability to make choices. As a clinical team, we are constantly looking at what motivates our clients and what their overall goals are to ensure that the programs we are implementing align with them. We teach functional and appropriate ways for clients to use their voice. Not only does this lead to more engaged learners, but also ensures that the skills are maintained over long periods of time.

What is Trauma-Informed Care?

At Lavender ABA, we embrace a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the lasting impact trauma can have on individuals and families. Trauma-informed care is more than a set of strategies—it’s a mindset. It means we prioritize emotional and physical safety, build trust through transparency, and ensure every interaction is grounded in respect and compassion.

We understand that everyone’s experiences are unique. That’s why we focus on empowerment, collaboration, and individualized support. Our team is trained to recognize the signs of trauma and respond in ways that avoid re-traumatization, honor each person’s voice, and promote healing.

By integrating trauma-informed principles into every level of our work—from clinical decisions to organizational policies—we create a supportive environment where clients, families, and clinicians can grow together. It’s all part of our commitment to delivering ethical, compassionate care that truly makes a difference.
